Project Overview: This new facility, designed in line with Scania’s global dealership template, offers a comprehensive solution for T. Nolan & Sons’ vehicle maintenance and repair services. The building includes:
– A state-of-the-art workshop complete with an overhead crane for efficient servicing of Scania vehicles.
– A parts department designed for optimal stock management and quick access.
– Modern office accommodation that ensures a comfortable work environment for staff.
– Extensive secure parking to accommodate Scania vehicles and customer cars.
In addition to these core features, the facility is designed with a strong focus on sustainability. Various elements were incorporated to enhance the facility’s environmental performance, supporting T. Nolan & Sons’ commitment to long-term sustainability.
Key Roles and Services Provided by BDB Consulting: Our team at BDB Consulting assumed several key roles throughout the project’s lifecycle. We were responsible for:
Architectural Services: Designing the facility to align with Scania’s global standards and ensuring functionality across the various departments.
Civil & Structural Engineering: Delivering the structural integrity required for the workshop and surrounding infrastructure.
Assigned Certifier and PSDP: Ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards throughout the project.
Project Management: Overseeing the project from concept to completion, managing timelines, budgets, and coordination with all stakeholders.
